Johnathan Blain
ALBUQUERQUE — Funeral services for Johnathan L. Blain, 58, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Bishop Balmer will officiate. Burial will be in Hyrum Utah. Visitation will be from 12 p.m until 1 p.m. before the services.
Blain died Oct. 21, 2011, in Albuquerque. He was born Jan. 1, 1953 in Ashton, Idaho.
Blain received his associates from Ricks College. He worked at BH Petroleum Services. His hobbies were fishing, hiking, and other outdoor sports and spending time with family.
Survivors include his wife Brenda Blaine of Albuquerque; son Tyler Blain of Midvale, Utah; daughters Taci Blain of Albuquerque and Tia Blain of Logan, Utah; brother David Blain and sisters Lynda Moon, Evelyn Straight; mother Beatrice Blain of Idaho. He was preceded in death by his father Archie Blain.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Blain, David Blain, Erock Benson, Todd Benson, Matt Benson, Oyan Cowes and Brian Tayne.
Tyren Charley
THOREAU — Funeral services for Tyren Jake Charley, 28, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011 at the First Baptist Church. Johnny Sanders will officiate. Burial will be in Thoreau.
Charley died Oct. 20, 2011, in Albuquerque. He was born May 7, 1983 in Crownpoint into the Salt Lake People Clan for the Edge Water People Clan.
Charley graduated from Thoreau High School in 2002. He attended Talking Leaves Job Corps and received a degree in nursing. Charley was employed at McKinley Manor in Gallup until he moved to the United American Indian Involvement as a case manager.
Survivors include his parents Ronald Charley of Mariano Lake and Virginia Charley of Crownpoint; brother C.J. Charley of Mariano Lake; sister Sophia Charley of Mariano Lake and grandmother Shirley Charley. He was preceded in death by his brother Vernon J. Charley; sister Sonya Charley and grandparents Grant and Mary Morgan and Roger Charley.
Pallbearers will be Sher-Ron Johnson, Melvin Morgan, Gilmore Lee, Alrick Albert, C.J. Charley and Jimmy Morgan.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Thoreau Chapter House after services.

Lothario Haloo
INGLEWOOD, Calif. — A traditional wake will be for Lothario Haloo, 54. Burial will be in Zuni.
Haloo died Oct. 18, 2011, in Torrance, Calif. He was born Dec. 8, 1956 in Zuni.
Haloo graduated from Zuni High School and received his associates degree in accounting. He retired from California State University in Long Beach as an International Enrollment Admissions Adviser where he worked for 15 years.
Survivors include his sons Michael Coble and Keith Bobelu of Zuni; brother Delbert Haloo of Zuni and sisters Lucille Sivtza and Laura Faye Payvsi. He was preceded in death by his wife Maefa Haloo and parents Peter Haloo and Luttie Lamy.
Jacky Joe Sr.
ROCKY POINT — Funeral services for Jacky Joe Sr., 64, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011 at Manuelito Church of God. The Rev. Dennis Thomas will officiate. Burial will be at a family plot in Rocky Point.
Joe died Oct. 21, 2011, in Gallup. He was born Dec. 30, 1946 in Querino Canyon, Ariz. into the One Who walks Around People Clan born for the Towering House People Clan.
Joe attended Sanders Elementary School and graduated from Valley High School in 1968. He went to Highland University in Las Vegas, N.M. and served in the Army for four years. Joe worked for Brown Construction in Gallup, Kerr-McGee and retired from the Navajo Nation Food Distribution in Gallup.
Survivors include his wife Rosemary Joe; son Jacky Joe. Jr; brother Thomas Joe of Sanders, Ariz., sisters Betly C. Benally of Lupton, Ariz., Mary Ashley and Nellie R. Begay both of Querino Canyon, Grace J. Arviso of Houck and Joann Allen of Newcomb and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Hoskie Joe and Lillie Joe; brothers David Joe and Kee Joe and sister Aurelia Curley.
Pallbearers will be Harold Brendon, Michael Smith, Remanuel Livingston, Brandon Murphy, Adam Skeets and Dominic Gatewood.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Manuelito Chapter House after services.

Ruth Largo
THOREAU — Funeral services for Ruth Ann Largo, 82, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Thoreau. The Rev. Glenn Marshall will officiate. Burial will be in Thoreau Community Cemetery.
Largo died Oct. 20, 2011, in Albuquerque. She was born March 29, 1929 in Smith Lake.
Largo completed up to 6th grade in her education. She worked at numerous places as a cook and teacher in Thoreau, Cortez, Colo., Gallup and Farmington. Largo was a hard worker and raised six children alone. She loved to crochet, cook, read her bible, do puzzle books, sing, go for walks and listen to Navajo Hour.
Survivors include her daughter Roberta Marsh of Farmington; brother Jones Largo of Thoreau; sister Louise Randolph of Thoreau; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sons Matthew L. Shorty, Robert T. Shorty, Randolph T. Shorty; daughters Regina R. Shorty and Rebecca A. Largo.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Marsh, Kendrick Trujillo, Adam Shorty, Randy Shorty Jr., Lance Begay and Juan Chavez.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Thoreau Chapter House.

Antoinette ‘Toni’ Torrez
GALLUP — A funeral mass for Antoinette “Toni” B. Torrez, 62, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 28, at Sacred Heart Cathedral. The Rev. O’Keefe will officiate. A rosary will be recited at Sacred Heart Cathedral.
Torrez died Oct. 21, 2011, in Albuquerque. She was born July 20, 1949 in Gallup.
Torrez attended St. Francis Catholic School, Gallup High School and graduated from West Mesa High School in 1968. She was employed at Golden Dragon and Sirloin Stockade as well as the 49’er Lounge before retiring to enjoy time with her birds and dogs and time in her flower and vegetable garden.
Survivors include her husband Chris Torrez of Gallup; son Chris A. Torrez Jr. of Gallup, daughter Madeline E. Torrez of Rio Rancho; brothers Robert A. Aragon of Gallup, stepbrother John Garcia of Phoenix; stepsisters Doris Good of Gallup and Judy Garcia-Brown of Phoenix, and a large extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Richard C. and Helen E. Garcia; grandparents Pete and Charlotte Aragon.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Aragon, Frank Aragon, Zachary Rameriz, Leo Torrez Jr., Victor Caraveo and Jimmy Escajeda.
The family will receive relatives and friends at The Family Center following the services.
